PHOTOGRAPHY JOURNEY

I haven't always dreamed of being a photographer, I have always been the one in front of the camera, so being behind the camera is very new to me.

So my journey of my new found hobby started some ca. 4 years ago. Believe it or not I just woke up one day and said im going to take my own damn pictures. This being my bff Kay Paris and I started an online magazine Z! Magazine, which we eventually wanted to branch into print. At that point we spoke to some photographers who could work with us and give this vision life, But no one was open to it. You know how it goes, not everyone sees your vision, people are more fond of being part of something if they see it not hear it. So from that I was like f' it, I will take my own damn pictures.

So I started doing some research, which camera was best for beginners, how to take a photo, lighting and all that. I spent a few hours on Youtube learning every single day. I went and purchased my very first camera the Nikon d3200 and learnt about it on youtube. If I tell you I learn everything from youtube, you wouldnt believe me. Youtube is the best teacher out there lol.

After I purchased my camera, I started taking pictures of everything, especially my kiddo who was only 8-9 months at the time, so she suffered the most lol. I learnt how to edit pictures in photoshop also from youtube haha.

From then my love for photography just grew and I found my passion for it. I set up a photo studio purchased all the equipments, the lighting, the backgrounds, and just did it.

This is one of the things I just threw myself into and took a chance at myself and learnt and I love it.

Thing about me is that, when I want to do something, I start dreaming about it so much that it fills up my whole brain, that I just have to do it. I can sometimes be very impulsive and just do things without careful thought why sometimes I end up doing stupid things but hey it has also worked in my favour a lot lol..

My first camera, unfortunately it was stolen on my trip to Zambia. I think I cried coz i had way too much valuable footage on it.
